SPORTS AND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES is registered organization under the Non-Governmental Organization Act, 2002 with Registration No. 00NGO/R/0319.

The reason we found this NGO is that, our country is facing a number of social challenges ranging from high level of unemployment, declining educational and health services and standards, low standard of living, food insecurity and persistent insecurity.

Knowing that recently there has been poor school attendants by the students especially in rural areas. Ignorance, food and water scarcity in school, poor play grounds and lack of good sports infrastructures has being a block stone for good attendants hence poor performance in education.

Recognizing that food and water is an important and highly demanded basic need in human life, and when it comes to education good performance in this sector depend on good health of the scholars. Children drop classes and engage in child labor seeking for food and other needs.

We founder members of  SPORTS AND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES  acknowledge that, sport is one tool among the tools that gear to good performance in education when it comes to education improvement  SPORTS AND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES  as a development partner is devoted in improving sports infrastructures that includes play grounds, sports instruments ,coaches and trainers.

That empowering the community on importance of education will help the parents and guardians to take their children in school regardless the economic or social status.

That Tanzania is one of the most blessed country in the world when it comes to natural resources and tourism sites has been major source of income. Support and empowering tourism sector will enhance employment of many Tanzanian, spreading the good culture and traditions of Tanzania, protection and preserving the environment will lead to individual and community economic development.

SPORTS AND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT  INITIATIVES collaborating with other development partners is dedicated to improve tourism sector and education sector through raising awareness, supporting in sports and to supplement Government efforts on community development, empowering children in various aspects such as education and sports.

Happy Kidz Daycare Centre is a registered daycare center under SPORTS AND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES(STOUR) that focuses on addressing the numerous setbacks within early childhood development in Tanzania. In our country, we face high levels of unemployment, declining educational and health services, low standard of living and food insecurity – all of which can affect the quality of education children receive. We aim to provide an environment where children can learn and grow through sports as well as play.
